Ship Profile Artwork

Paintings of ships in profile (a complete side view) is a traditional style dating back to the early days of nautical art.  These highly detailed waterline renderings typically include text describing the ship, the ship’s name and crest and sometimes smaller artwork, such as previous ships of the same name. 

The ship profiles offered here are high quality prints of original ink and watercolor art, each drawn and painted by our artist.  Based on thorough research, they are highly detailed, exactly scaled and the watercolor nicely represents the actual coloring and texture of Navy hulls.  Compare these to computer-generated ship profile prints that can be found elsewhere on the internet, that lack detail, are out of scale and use bright colors that make the ships look toy-like.

Personalization and Event Customization

Profile prints can be personalized with text, such as name, rank, dates of service, award citations, etc. in the upper right-hand corner (see below profile of USS CUSHING).   If the prints are being ordered to support a particular event such as a Reunion, Commissioning, Decommissioning or other occasion, you can specify the custom event text for the upper-right corner.
